Ingredients
  • 500 grams/3pcs Lamb Shanks
  • 1 piece Onion Chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Black Pepper Powder
  • Salt As much as needed

  1. Set the flame to medium to high; At first we begin with frying the onions in a cooking pot until they are brown.

  3. Then add the lamb shanks;

  4. And continue to fry the lamb shanks with onions in both sides until they turn brown.

  5. Now add 3/5 to 4 cups of boiling water into the pot (good enough to cover the the lamb shanks);

  6. Add the salt; reduce the heat to low and cover the pot and let the lamb shanks to slow cook until they are soft and tender. (Approx. 1.30 to 2 hrs)

  7. After about 1 & half hour to 2 hours, check the lamb shanks with fork if they are cooked well.

  8. Check the water in the pot; (You must have almost 1/3 of the water remain in the pot.) If the meat is fully cooked and the water has reached to 1/3; your lamb shanks are all ready to be served.
