Ingredients

  • 6 pcs Cashew Nut
  • 1 piece Chopped Onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 pcs Almond
  • 1/2 tbsp Grated Ginger
  • 3 pcs Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Cream
  • 1/2 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Red Chilli Pepper Powder
  • 1/3 tbsp Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste

  • 1 cup Yellow Split Peas or Lentils
  • 1/2 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Black Pepper Powder

To make the meatballs
  1. First start by roasting the yellow split peas or lentils over the medium heat until roasted.

  5. Start mixing them well using your hand.

  6. Then transfer it to the food processor and start mixing it inside the food processor to make sure the meat is mixed with all the other ingredients well.

  8. Start frying the meatballs over the medium heat until they are fried and then remove them from the heat and set them aside.

To make the curry sauce:
  1. Place a frying pan over the medium to high heat and add 3 tbsp oil and let it warm enough; add the cashew nut and the almond pieces or powder and fry for about 2 minutes;

  7. Bring back the pan under the medium heat. Add 2 tbsp oil and let it warm; add all the curry sauce spices (turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chilli pepper powder & coriander powder) and fry them to 2 minutes.

  11. Add the meatballs to the sauce and cover the pan and let the meatballs cook inside the curry sauce until the sauce start thickening. The thickness of the curry sauce depends to your taste you can keep it under the heat for extra thick.

Recipe Notes

You can always reduce or increase the amount of spices according to your taste.
